Care Farm Informational Community Meeting

From Sarah Carl:
My sister, Beth Uesseler Boman and a dedicated group of advocates, therapists, and parents dreamed of establishing a Care Farm as part of the Care Farming Network. Beth had such a passion to extend and grow opportunities through this network for adults with intellectual disabilities. She worried about her students once they were no longer in school.
Beth was so disappointed when things just had to pause as each person involved, including herself, found it an enormous task that took more time than they had.
I'd heard Beth talk about the Care Farm and this incredible group of people that she kept telling me that "I had to meet.” Sadly, it took her passing to finally meet them.
Not only did we meet, but with the outpouring of community interest and support, we picked things back up right where they had left off.
The terribly painful days and weeks after Beth's passing were filled with encouragement and love from you--her community. So many of you said, "We want to help! How can we help? We want to know more about the Care Farm!"
We are hoping to PACK this community meeting on July 18th at First Capital (see the linked event for details.) We'll share more about Beth's (and the team's) passion and vision, explain more about what a Care Farm is, and DREAM TOGETHER!
It truly is a community commitment. We need people from all backgrounds and experiences and adults of all ages and abilities....families, parents, FARMERS! lawyers, bankers, teachers, therapists, small business, students, adults of all ages and abilities, churches, the list is expansive and all inclusive.

Text reads: We need you! Help us create a
community care farm. What's a care farm? Join us to find out and to introduce Beth's Gather and Bloom Farm. This isn't just an information session. We need your feedback and help because we can't build this without our community! Come dream with us.
