Join SGMC Health, in collaboration with the Valdosta Fire Department, Valdosta Police Department, Region 8 Trauma Advisory Committee (RTAC8), and Safe Kids Georgia, for a Car Seat Safety Check event. Our certified technicians will provide free inspections and guidance to ensure your child's car seat is installed correctly and safely.
In addition to the car seat check, RTAC8 will be providing free ROTH ID tags, a universal emergency contact identification system. The tag can be affixed to any car seat or product used by an infant, young child, or person under the care of a parent or guardian. In case of emergency, first responders are able to quickly identify your child and reach your emergency contacts.
Appointments are required to be guaranteed a car seat check. Drive ups without an appointment will be seen if a technician is available. However, we cannot guarantee availability without an appointment.
