About this Event

Captain Powell currently flies as a Captain for American Airlines. Beth's journey from a small parish in St. Mary Jamaica, to making history is a testament to the power of dreams and perseverance.

Captain Powell will participate in a Q&A to discuss her book, Queen of the Skies! Beth's book honors Bessie Coleman, the first African American and Native American pilot. Captain Beth Powell led a historic all-Black female flight crew to commemorate the centennial of Bessie receiving her pilot's license.
