Capital, Consumerism & Christmas Lights

This will be a perambulation around the West End to explore Christmas traditions old and new, pagan festivals, the northern crown, commodity production, capital and profit and much more.
We'll roam through St Christopher's Place, visit Selfridges, take a peek at Oxford Street from a safe distance and press our noses up against the bullet proof glass of expensive jewellers.
The aim is observe the crowds but avoid them, to be dazzled by shiny baubles and flashing signs and lift commodity-image-objects to the electric light and see what lies hidden in their manufacture.
