The Native Plant Alliance will host the 9th Annual Native Plant Festival September 18-21, 2024 with evening speakers on September 18, 19, and 20 at the New Hanover County Arboretum. Registration for the presentations is required and links can be found at https://go.ncsu.edu/nativeplantfestivalOn Saturday, September 21st, visitors can shop for native plants at our plant vendors throughout the Cape Fear Region. ***We will no longer have the festival onsite at the Arboretum.****
The mission of the Native Plant Festival is to educate the public on the benefits and importance of native plants for our local ecosystems, and to promote and support native plant growers to increase demand and supply of native plants in our region.

Where and When to Buy – Plants will not be For Sale at the Arboretum
Native Plants will be available for sale at various vendors throughout the Cape Fear Area on Saturday, September 21st. Some locations will host multiple vendors.

Extension Master Gardener Volunteers will be on hand at Pender Pines, Blooms and Branches, and Shelton Herb Farm to answer gardening related questions and to speak with visitors about how they can add well adapted native plants to their own gardens to help support insects and wildlife.
