Join DAAC for a creative afternoon in support of the WSOY Community Food Drive! This community open studio class invites participants to make art, give back, and take home an original project.
Inspired by the colorful "Cerealism" collage work of American pop artist Michael Albert, participants will transform cereal boxes and other food packaging into vibrant mixed-media collages of their own. Albert is known for creating pop-art collages from cereal boxes and other consumer packaging, making this a fun project that connects creativity, reuse, and community.
The cost is $30 per participant, or participants may bring a donation of similar value in nonperishable canned goods. All proceeds from the class will support the WSOY Community Food Drive, a local annual initiative that supplies food pantries in Decatur and fights hunger in the community.
