Join us at Fox Republic Brewing in Yorkville for a night of making candles and drinking local brews. Make your own unique scented candle from start to finish!
During the event, you can expect to make your own custom blend scented candle, learn a little about candle-making, have a fun night out socializing, and don't forget to grab a beer from the bar! (Drinks not included in event cost.)
- Smell different fragrance oils and choose your candle blend from over 45 fragrances!
- Mix in your own scents & pour your candle
- Candle size will be a 12oz tumbler jar with two cotton wicks
- Come back to Fox Republic to pick up your finished product on Fri 12/12 or after (the candles need time to cool and we spend Friday personalizing your lid as well!)
- Each candle also comes with a bamboo lid that we will wood burn with your own custom title, quote, or message! Perfect for a unique touch to your candle, or create a fun title or message for a gift!
Please note that candles will need time to cool and dry, and we need time to custom wood burn everyone's lids! Candles can be picked up at Fox Republic on Friday, Dec 12th after 5pm -- or can be picked up any time after Friday.
$25 per person covers the event cost + the candle you will take home. Please register beforehand if you can! We may be able to accept participants at the door but spots may be limited. We expect this one to sell out!

Depending on our audience size, you may be able to make an additional candle at the end of the night for an additional charge.
Please expect the event to last until about 8 - 8:30 pm. We may have anywhere between 15 - 25 people and call people up in groups to smell the fragrances first, and then again to make their candle once everyone has made their scent selections so there will be some downtime in between. Groups are called up in the order that they checked in.
ABOUT THE HOST
Brittany has owned and run Novelly Yours since 2015 which primarily makes soy wax candles, along with some other themed items (many related to books)! In 2020, she created Brewed & Barreled as an off-shoot to featured beer & brewing related candles.
Fox Republic Brewing is Yorkville's only brewery! Choose from a selection of craft beers, or sample other options like wine, seltzer, and non-alcoholic options. They also serve snacks like pizza and stuffed pretzels, and Home Run Hot Dogs is also right next door!
