Founded in 2021, Canadian doom disciples Ethereal Tomb have been firing on all cylinders since 2021, releasing a self-titled record and a split EP whilst clawing their way through Canada’s metal scene (the Barrie/Tkaronto trio self-identify as playing Turtle Island Street Metal but have elsewhere been hailed as "Landback Hardcore"). Their 2023 album When The Rivers Dry – mastered by Joel Grind of Toxic Holocaust – melds Indigenous fury with crushing riffs that echo in the night. They returned in late March 2024 with the crushing Life Beyond Oppressor's Brutality EP.
Mile End is a band on a mission to put Brampton — and their friends — on the musical map. Formed in 2017 by a group of close friends, the band spent the next few years honing their sound, eventually solidifying their identity with support from Brampton’s creative community. Their debut LP is a testament to staying true to their roots, resisting trends, and refining their craft through local connections. With eight hard-hitting, dynamic tracks, the record captures the raw energy of ’90s hardcore bands like 108 and Threadbare, balanced with a modern edge. Each song reflects their surroundings and a vision to build a worldwide hardcore community.
