Canal Adoption Partnerships Open Day

Join us on the canalside to find out how your organisation could support the local environment and have fun doing it.
About this Event

The Canal & River Trust, protect and care for 2000 miles of historic waterways across England and Wales, keeping the canals open and alive for people and wildlife. We are offering businesses and community organisations within the Old Oak and Park Royal area the chance to adopt a section of canalside. This will help support our work and benifit the wider community through keeping the canalside clean, welcoming alive with a thriving ecosystem. Adoptions are also great for the health and wellbeing of your staff or members, giving opportunities to be outside and enjoy nature whilst helping to enhance the local environment.

This open day is an oportunity to come and find out more about our canlside adoptions program and to learn more about our work in your area from Canal and River Trust staff and volunteers.

We will have a presentation to introduce the Adoptions Partnerships program but if you can't make it for 11:00 then feel free to drop in for a coffee and a chat on our floating classroom at any point. We will also be holding litter picking, plant identification sessions and print making at set times. You are welcome to come to any and all of these:

11:00 - Presentation on adoption partnerships and local projects

11:30 - Litter picking and vegetation maintenance

12:15- Plant and tree identification

12:45 - Print making session

13:15 - End
