Join us for a community screening of the poignant documentary starring Sandra Oh, "Can I Get A Witness", a deeply moving exploration of death, dying, and human connection.
This film challenges the cultural silence around dying, shining a light on the importance of presence, ritual, and compassionate witnessing at the end of life. Through personal stories, interviews, and intimate scenes, "Can I Get A Witness" invites us to reimagine how we support one another through death and grief.
Following the screening, there will be a facilitated conversation and Q&A on topics of the Medical Aid in Dying (MAID) with Dr. Kelly Mieske, Dr. Trevor Janz and others well-versed in this topic.
This event is part of Nelson Hospice's ongoing commitment to creating open, supportive spaces for dialogue around death and dying.
