The Lake School, located in the heart of Oakland’s Lake Merritt district at 304 Lester, is in our 45th year of serving Piedmont and Oakland families. We are recognized for our commitment to providing a quality play-based education program for learners ages two to six years old. Historically a part-time preschool, The Lake School now offers 5 days per week and extended hours until 5 p.m. Parents can continue to make their own schedule with our flexible options. Check out the website www.thelakeschool.com to learn more. We are hosting Campus Tours for the 2026-27 school year beginning this Fall. Tours are offered at 9:30 a.m. on Fridays, October 17th, November 14th, and December 12th. This is a great opportunity to see our program in action and learn how children can reach all developmental milestones through engaging play. You will also get to see our classrooms, outdoor play area, and meet our furry, feathered, and scaled pets.
