About this Event
Have you ever wondered how waste is managed in Gateshead? Do you want to know what happens to your recycling? This is the event for you!
We are offering a FREE tour of Campground HWRC and Waste Transfer Station so you can look behind-the-scenes of waste management.
Arrive for a start time of 9:30am. Enjoy a warming cup of tea or coffee in the Waste and Recycling Visitor and Education Centre (W&RVEC) whilst listening to a short introduction to recycling and sustainability. At 10am, we will begin our tour of the HWRC and Waste Transfer Station. Then, it's back to the W&RVEC for another warm drink and the chance to ask our experts any burning questions.
You will leave this event with a newfound appreciation for the recycling process!
