What

The Poe Center’s Camp PlayWELL offers a one-of-a-kind experience for rising 1st-5th graders in the Raleigh area. This summer day camp combines fun hands-on indoor and outdoor planned activities with meaningful health-science education, providing an engaging environment where children can learn and play.

Campers participate in a variety of experiences, including health-focused lessons, STEAM projects, and active play on our PlayWELL body systems–themed playground. Each week features a unique health theme—such as cooking, body systems, or mental wellness—giving participants the opportunity to explore multiple aspects of healthy living.

To extend learning beyond camp, every participant receives take-home materials that reinforce the week’s theme, encouraging families to continue the conversation and apply new knowledge at home.

Lunch will be provided to campers.

When

Weekly starting June 22 through July 24, 2026, excluding July 13-17 ( 4 Weeks)

9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Extended care may be arranged for an additional fee - 7:45-8:30 a.m.; 4:30-5:30 p.m.

Refund Policy: Cancellations made within two weeks of the program start date are not eligible for a refund or credit.
