Camp Literary Itinerary: 10 Year Anniversary!

Ten years ago, Itinerant Literate Books first hit the road in Charleston in our trusty camper, Viola, and made official camp here in Park Circle. To celebrate a decade of stories, community, and portable magic, we're throwing the summer camp party of our dreams!

And the best part is that the fun starts before the party! All through July, customers can earn merit patches toward their Bookstore Camp sash or vest. Collect 5 patches and you'll take home a prize bag. Learn how to earn badges below.

In the afternoon, Chef Amethyst Ganaway, North Charleston's own celebrated chef, food writer, and Geechee culinary champion will be onsite serving up delectable summertime dishes.

Menu:

• Oysters (Chargrilled or Raw)
• Cucumber, tomato, and pickled okra skewers
• Mini cornbread muffins
• S’mores
• Charleston Chilly Bears (frozen koolaid cups)
