🌸 Camellia Show at Kanapaha Botanical Gardens - A Winter Wonderland! 🌸
Looking for a beautiful way to kick off the new year? Join us on January 4-5 at the Kanapaha Botanical Gardens in Gainesville, Florida, for the Gainesville Camellia Society's Annual Camellia Show! 🌿
✨ Event Details:
Location: Kanapaha Botanical Gardens, Gainesville, FL
Plant Sales: Over 300 varieties of Camellias and 700+ Camellias will be available for purchase! Whether you're starting a new collection or adding to an existing one, there’s something for every Camellia lover. Sales will run from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday.
Show Opening: The Camellia Show will open to the public at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday and all day Sunday, January 5th. If you are entering blooms for the Show, doors will open early Saturday for you. Plan on arriving between 7:00am -10:00am to ensure you have time to enter your Camellia blooms. We have special guest judges and special hybridizers joining us this year. The competition will be grand! We have new awards for First Time Competitors and for Local Novice Camellia Growers. Bragging rights and cash prizes are always on the menu!

Prize-Winning Blooms: See beautiful Camellia flowers in every color, shape, and size! The blooms at Kanapaha are a winter highlight you won’t want to miss.
Camellia Education: GCS members will be on hand to share their expertise and guide you in selecting and planting Camellias for your garden. Learn about their care, culture, and the many varieties that thrive in our region.
Plant Sale: Don’t miss your chance to take home a new Camellia for your garden. Remember, Camellias are the queens of winter, blooming beautifully from the end of the year through March or April!
🌿 Fun Fact: One of the Camellias for sale is called “Kickoff” — a perfect addition for every Gainesville garden!
💐 Admission Info: Regular admission applies for non-members, which includes entry to both the gardens and the Camellia Show.
