Classic #7 is ready to roll. All proceeds from this Tournament will go directly to this years charities, which will be Dana Farber Cancer Institute and Cambridge Baseball Program. These charities hold a special place in my heart as my youngest sister Dawn passed away in 2019 after a long battle with breast cancer at age 47. Dawn was at our first tournament, but was too sick to attend the second. She was very much appreciative of the many people that came out in support to raise money for such a great cause. Our other charity will be Cambridge Baseball Program of which my son Chris Coleman played for.
Over the past 6 years our tournament has grown from 8-12 teams, most coming from within our city. We have raised $20,000 for Dana Farber, Cambridge Girls Softball Program, Cambridge Babe Ruth, and Cambridge Baseball.
We have become one of the biggest tournaments in our city, and it has become a great day to reunite with friends young and old over a friendly and sometimes very competitive game of softball. We will have raffles, food and drinks, and a 50/50. So hopefully with your help we can make this years tournament the most successful one yet. We are looking to expand to 16 teams with a 3 game guarantee pool play format. If you would like to get in kindly forward the entry fee of $400.00 via Venmo to @Jim-Coleman-62
