Calming the Fire
Do they glow with a steady, nourishing flame, or do they fluctuate between intensity and exhaustion?
In Chinese Medicine, the Heart is associated with the element of Fire and governs our capacity for joy, connection, presence, and spirit. During the height of Summer—Fire season—we are invited to tend to this inner flame with awareness and care.
When Heart Fire becomes excessive, we may experience anxiety, restlessness, insomnia, cravings, or a sense of feeling unsettled. Often, this arises when Yin—the cooling, nourishing waters within us—becomes depleted and can no longer balance the fire.
In a world that constantly encourages doing, striving, and producing, many of us live in a chronically Yang state. This can leave us feeling disconnected from the stillness, rest, and nourishment that sustain us.
Join us for an evening of ceremonial cacao, auricular acupuncture, conscious connected breathwork, and sound healing as we restore balance between fire and water, movement and stillness, action and rest.
Together, we’ll create space to soften what no longer serves, reconnect with the wisdom of the heart, and cultivate a steady, sustainable inner flame.
Fire season is not about burning brighter. It’s about burning in balance.
