EvoluCulture is an integrated arts organization and poetry collective based in Newark, NJ. Our mission is to hold space for artists and art lovers to learn, unlearn, and relearn self and community.

ABOUT THE HOST:
Residing in Newark by-way-of Camden, NJ, Sean Battle (CEO & Founder, EvoluCulture Ventures) is the combination of an ambitious mother and pro wrestling antics. Battle published four full-length poetry collections, the most recent being ON THE RIGHT SIDE, and has released his first spoken word album, DON’T RUN on all streaming platforms. He holds an MFA in poetry from Rutgers-Newark and BA in English from Rutgers-New Brunswick, where he was also President of its poetry collective, Verbal Mayhem. Battle also teaches English at Essex County College.
