About this Event

Featured Artists:
Euphony is a Hip-Hop/Neo-Soul/Jazz performance and visual artist based in Newark.
She’s a songwriter, lyricist, singer, poetess, instructor and painter, who’s performed for/in collaboration with notable venues around the tri-state.

K Marques is a Newark-based multidisciplinary artist and finance graduate of Rutgers Business School who channels creativity into meaningful expression. Influenced by culture, community, and personal experience, his work explores the stories, perspectives, and connections that shape the human experience. Through a blend of artistry and intention, he creates spaces for conversation, reflection, and inspiration. With a foundation in both business and the arts, K Marques continues to forge his own path, using his creative voice to build bridges, challenge perspectives, and create lasting impact.

Craig Bradley is a Newark-based poet, curator, and creative strategist who uses art as a tool for connection, healing, and social change. He is the founder of The Residency, a live poetic experience that celebrates revolutionary Black voices through performance and community engagement. Craig has performed at New Jersey Performing Arts Center, Dodge Poetry Festival, North to Shore Festival, and Newark Symphony Hall, and has facilitated workshops with organizations including Source of Knowledge Bookstore. Whether on stage or behind the scenes, he creates spaces that blend creativity, purpose, and community, empowering audiences through storytelling and shared experience.

Mia X, Newark’s inaugural Poet Laureate, is a poet, community organizer, and cultural leader whose work is rooted in connection, advocacy, and the transformative power of storytelling. Affectionately known as “Ms. Hug the Block” and “Ms. People’s Open Mic,” she has become a beloved voice in Newark’s creative community. As a single mother of three, her lived experiences inform a body of work grounded in resilience, compassion, and the belief that growth often emerges through adversity—because, as she says, “no grit, no pearl.”

Known as “V,” Victoria Salvador is a multidisciplinary artist, musician, and creative documentarian whose practice spans visual art, music, photography, and ceramics. Born in Manhattan and raised in New Jersey, she has spent decades cultivating a life centered on artistic exploration and community. Originally trained as a traditional painter, V is now an active presence in New Jersey’s vibrant arts and music scene. Whether selling handmade pottery, improvising during live jam sessions, or photographing the artists and creatives around her, she approaches every medium with curiosity and authenticity. Her music remains intentionally unreleased, existing exclusively in live performance and shared moments. To follow her work, creative process, and artistic ventures, connect with her on Instagram: @sofa_ghost, @v.s.studios, and @softfocustudios.
