Call for Artists: “Gardens and Gathering Places”

The Bristol Art Museum at Rogers Free Library invites artists to submit work for Gardens and Gathering Places, a juried exhibition celebrating the landscapes and shared spaces that inspire connection, creativity, and belonging.
From vibrant flower gardens and wooded trails to neighborhood parks, seaside lawns, vegetable patches, baseball fields, and imaginative gathering spaces, this exhibition explores the places that bring people together. Artists are encouraged to interpret the theme through realistic depictions or abstract impressions of growth, abundance, reflection, and community.
This year's exhibition will be juried by acclaimed Rhode Island landscape painter Paul Olson, whose work reflects a lifelong appreciation for the natural beauty of Narragansett Bay and the landscapes that shape our everyday lives.
Eligible Media: Drawing - Painting - Printmaking - Collage - Fiber Arts - Photography
Artwork must be original, ready to install, and no larger than 18" x 24"
Artists must be 18 years of age or older

Submission Deadline: Friday, July 17, 2026
Notification of Acceptance: Tuesday, July 28, 2026
Exhibition On View: August 10 – September 23, 2026
*Entry Fees:
>BAM Members:
$20 for one submission, $30 for two submissions
>Non-Members:
$25 for one submission, $40 for two submissions
Artwork may be offered for sale, with all sales negotiated directly between the artist and collector.
