FREE FAMILY FRIENDLY EVENT!
Experience a glimmer of classical Japanese culture at the heart of the Black Ships Festival - a day-long event open to the public and open to all ages next to the water at Independence Park in Bristol.
Highlights from last year's festival include:
* a martial arts display;
* an abbreviated Japanese tea ceremony;
* taiko drumming performances
* vendors from around New England.
This year, we will be adding:
* several idol performances
* 9+ food trucks
* a cosplay competition
Saturday is the heart of the festival, running from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Independence Park in Bristol, RI. Attendees can explore cultural exhibits, performances, and hands-on activities for all ages.
