Join us Tuesday, June 24th from 3–5 PM in the Spirit Shop inside Newport Market for a mezcal tasting featuring Bozal Mezcal and Calenda Mezcal.
Crafted from wild agave growing on the steep mountainsides of Oaxaca, Guerrero, and Durango, these mezcals are bold, smoky, earthy, and deeply expressive of the regions they come from. Using traditional production methods passed down for generations, agave hearts are cooked in earthen pit ovens, crushed by Tahona stone wheel, naturally fermented in open air, and double distilled to create mezcal with extraordinary depth and character.
We’ll be pouring Bozal Ensamble along with either their Tepeztate or Cempasúchil expressions, offering a rare chance to explore some truly distinctive agave spirits right here in Bend.
