Calamity Jane is riding into Leyland June 2026!
The welcome night will be held on 12th January at 7pm followed by auditions on 18th January 3-7pm.
Everyone over the age of 17 is welcome to audition!
Show dates will be 2-6 June 2026 - a full audition pack will follow in the next few weeks.
***Important information for the pre audition - come ready to learn a dance for the auditions!
Synopsis:
In the wild-west outpost of Deadwood City, 1876, sharpshooting tomboy Calamity Jane carouses with cowboys, townsfolk, and her arch-rival, the famous Wild Bill Hickock. After a mix-up in the talent pool at Deadwood’s saloon/theatre, Calamity goes to Chicago to fetch the glamorous actress Adelaide Adams, but she returns instead with Adelaide’s maid, Katie Brown. Katie turns out to be quite a performer herself, and she wins the heart of the young Lieutenant Danny Gilmartin. At the local ball, Calamity briefly sheds her tomboy persona and discovers she's in love with Wild Bill Hickock.

There are further roles available within the ensemble and dancers. Please note we will hold auditions for everyone wishing to join the ensemble. We are also looking for a dance captain and a pit choir - further details for these and all roles will be given in the audition pack at the pre audition.
