"Cake and Eight" Magical Mermaid Edition Dive into something magical! In this whimsical, under-the-sea inspired class, you’ll create a stunning mermaid-themed cake and matching cupcakes that are almost too pretty to eat (almost ).
All supplies included
Students may bring a drink, snack, and apron if they choose.
Please note: The classroom can get cold. A light jacket is recommended.
What You’ll Be Creating:
Can’t decide between cake or cupcakes? Now you don’t have to!
Each student will decorate:
• One 6" cake featuring a beautiful mermaid fin and sprinkles
• 8 fully decorated cupcakes to complete the set
We’ll be working with rich butter vanilla cake and a smooth, velvety Swiss meringue buttercream to bring your creations to life.
What You’ll Learn:
This class is packed with beginner-friendly techniques and is perfect for anyone wanting a strong foundation in cake decorating. You’ll learn:
• How to ice a cake smoothly using basic buttercream techniques
• How to work with piping bags and various piping tips to create designs
• How to mix and create your own custom buttercream colors
• How to work with fondant and molds for decorative elements
• How to use dry food color pigments and brushing techniques
• How to work with edible mediums like glitter and sprinkles
By the end of class, you’ll have completed a simple one-layer 6" cake and 8 beautifully decorated cupcakes—and gained the skills to recreate them at home!
Ticket Options (Please Read Carefully):
Student Ticket – $65
• One project per student
• Ages 12+
Parent & Me Ticket – $75
• One project will be shared between:
– One parent/guardian (age 18+)
– One child (ages 8–11)
Age Requirements:
• Children ages 8–11 MUST attend with an adult (Parent & Me ticket required)
• Students 12+ may attend independently
• All students 12+ must have their own ticket
