Some Ecstatic Dance History... we're going way back now... so between 2017-2020, we ran an awesome ecstatic dance event in Camden called CACAO DANCE TRIBE. It was one of the world's first Cacao Ceremony + Ecstatic Dance events!
Unfortunately, since covid, we had to stop running them at our Camden venue.. but we are back, this time in Tufnell Park!

ECSTATIC DANCE LONDON: The Sober ReLOVEution! Pioneers of Ecstatic Dance in the UK since 2009
You are invited to join us for freestyle, expressive dance & moving meditation sessions. An Evening of Ecstatic Dance with No Alcohol, No Drugs - Just Music, Amazing Afro-Rhythms and Cacao! This is a unique sober Friday night dance in London with the founders of Ecstatic Dance in the UK!
No prior experience of dance necessary. All welcome. We also offer limited free crew space, scroll down to find more info and crew sign up form.
Our Ecstatic Dance sessions have guidelines of: No booze, No Shoes, No phones, No Chit Chat, Move However You Wish, Respect yourself and others.
PRACTICE SPECIFICS:
1) Warm-up: stretch, move/dance and reflect on the intention for the dance to a gentle sound wave.
2) The Practice: freestyle dancing to a large sound wave featuring Live DJ set. Some guidance & facilitation will be provided. And then we will let the music, the community and our own inner space direct our steps, our movements, our expression, our journey.
3) Relaxation: Ecstatic Dance usually ends with a deep relaxation.
