C4C/PJJ/IFWA Workshop

Close Contact Prime, LLC is offering a 6 hour Defensive Tactics, Control Tactics Instructor Workshop at Impact Jiu Jitsu Sherwood. The intent of this course is to refine your lesson plans for teaching DT’s at your home agency. This course is open to all law enforcement personnel regardless of instructorship.

This course is a blend of C4C PJJ and ShivWorks concepts taught by authorized instructors from these two organizations.

Topics covered in this coursework:

C4C PJJ

• 4 Foundational Principles of C4C/PJJ.
• 3 Sub-Concepts of Physical Control.
• Take downs to control off a barrier in a law enforcement environment (wall or other objects).
• From the ground reversing positions and controlling opponent in a law enforcement environment.
• C4C/PJJ pressure testing.

Shivworks

• Introduction to building the #2 position (retention shooting position).
• Firing throughout the horizontal line of presentation. Extension or compression based on proximity of threat.
• Theory of “in-fight weapon access” in a standing or grounded entanglement (IFWA).
• IFWA pressure testing.

Participants must demonstrate the ability to perform specific objectives and/or concepts to successfully complete this course. This course is very physically demanding. Participants must be free of any injury that would prevent full participation.
