About this Event
In preparation for November’s Big Butterfly Count we are holding a training session in readiness for groups that will run count activities.
After last year's session focusing on an introduction to butterlfy families, butterfly expert Cliff Meyer will deliver a training session around the butterfly's immature stages.
Cliff will take us through each of the butterfly families again illustrating the more common butterfly’s immature stages (egg, larva or caterpillar and pupa or chrysallis), as well as some of their preferred larval food plants.
This is a train the trainer event to help participants gain knowledge in how to run and present a Big Butterfly Count survey while also improving their butterfly identification skills.
