Butterfly Taxidermy

Art Project Discovery is a creative, open-to-all series designed for anyone who wants to explore new and unique art projects each month. No experience is needed, and all supplies are included.

Each session introduces a fresh, guided project that blends creativity, technique, and experimentation in a relaxed and welcoming environment.

Our first project, “Taxidermy Butterfly (Decorative Specimen Art),” is a stylized art piece inspired by natural history displays. Participants will create a decorative butterfly composition presented in a specimen-style format using safe, artistic materials and techniques—no real specimens involved.

This project focuses on design, symmetry, layering, and visual presentation, allowing each artist to create something bold, detailed, and visually striking.

With step-by-step guidance, participants will leave with a finished piece that feels both artistic and uniquely expressive.
