In celebration of International Day of Peace, we’ll gather for a joyful and meaningful art experience where you can decorate as many paper butterflies as you’d like, each one representing your own ideas of peace, hope, kindness, connection, or what a more peaceful world looks like to you.
🎶 Live Handpan Music
Throughout the experience, you’ll be surrounded by the live, soothing sounds of the handpan, creating a peaceful soundtrack as you paint, draw, reflect, and connect.
The handpan is a melodic percussion instrument known for its warm, resonant tones and calming, meditative sound. Its circular shape and the way its notes harmonize with one another can be seen as a beautiful symbol of connection, balance, and unity—a fitting companion for an evening centered around peace.
🦋 Create Your Piece of Peace
Some butterflies will come together to create a collaborative Peace Wall—a collective work of art made from many individual thoughts, colors, words, and dreams of peace.
And you get to decide what happens to your butterflies. Add one (or several!) to the Peace Wall, take your creations home, or do a little of both.
No art experience is necessary. Just bring your imagination, your curiosity, and an open heart.
