About this Event
Want to learn more about butterflies in Utah, how they're studied, and the ins and outs of these beautiful creatures? Take a trip to the Natural History Museum of Utah with us for a behind the scenes tour of the lepidoptera collections with Christy Bills, Invertebrate Collections Manager at the museum.
This event is part of Swaner's Walks, Talks, and Workshops series and is designed for adults.
Swaner will organize a carpool from Park City to the museum. Please indicate if you would like to carpool with us when registering!
Many thanks to the Natural History Museum of Utah for partnering with us to provide this tour in conjunction with Swaner's current traveling exhibit .
About Christy Bills (She's the best - we know you'll love her too!)
Christy is a bug-loving, plant-petting, soil-sniffing bird gawker who gets unreasonably excited about making nature accessible and fun. She joined the museum staff in 1998 and has been managing the invertebrate collections with the help of volunteers and interns ever since. Her areas of expertise include insect collection curation, science communication, fireflies in the Western U.S., and community science.
