UGA FamilySearch Library Visit & Interview Training

The Hybrid Chapter of the Utah Genealogical Association is happy to sponsor this event! We will meet at the FamilySearch Library classroom B on the main floor. We will get to use the recording booths to practice interviewing!

The FamilySearch Library is the headquarters of a global network of experts, volunteers, documents, and resources that can help you conduct family history work. Members of the Utah Chapter of the Association of Professional Genealogists are invited as well! Don't miss out on the chance to visit the Library and make new friendships among the genealogical community.

Parking is available at the Conference Center parking facility. The entrance is on West Temple by the Conference Center. Enter in the center of the street. The parking lot on the west side of the Church History Museum is available at select times on specific days. Validated parking is provided at the Church History Museum, Church History Library, and the FamilySearch Library for guests. The regular parking rate without a validation is $10. The Conference Center parking facility is open from 4:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. and overnight parking is not allowed. Parking lots fill quickly, and parking is not guaranteed. Downtown Salt Lake parking is another option, and more information is available at parkingslc.com. There are over 30,000 spots in and around the downtown core. Use parkingslc.com to find where to park in garages, lots or on the street. You can also learn how to find and pay for parking with an app and how to use meter pay stations. We recommend that guests use the UTA Trax and bus systems wherever possible. Utilizing these public systems reduces traffic congestion downtown, eliminates the need for finding parking, and ensures a more timely arrival to your destination.
