Burdock Patrol - Hoyt Ave E & Furness Parkway
We'll work near Hoyt/Furness and north toward Larpenteur for the next few Sundays.
You're most welcome to help the project at times that work for you. If you prefer 20-30 minutes at lunch time or after work, do that! Check in via direct message or a quick visit in person to confirm general plan.

We're "strolling with shovels" along Furness this summer with a special focus on removing Burdock ~ to open up spaces for native perennials and shrubs. We've seen red and common elderberry, golden alexanders, wild geraniums, marsh marigolds, and Jack in the pulpit!
Burdock is a non-native (edible) plant that grows a tall flower stalk during its 2nd growing season. Each flower turns into a big "bur" with lots of seeds. For more info about Arctium lappa and A. minus - see https://www.minnesotawildflowers.info/flower/great-burdock.
