Saturday, August 23rd - Junior Prep 8.5' & Junior Varsity 10' Wheelchair Basketball Tournaments.
Sunday, August 24th - Adult Community Wheelchair Basketball Tournament.
Pierre Nealon (Shirley Ryan AbilityLab) and Dan Ferreira (Chicago Park District) will be facilitating the wheelchair basketball tournament in conjunction with the Chicago Bulls and the staff of Bulls Fest.
We plan to have teams and individuals register to collect our pool of athletes, and we will work with coaches to organize "balanced" teams on the morning of before play begins.
We will utilize National Wheelchair Basketball Association (NWBA) rules of play, including classification, as we will play with 10 points on the court for adults and 5 points for the Junior 10' tournament (Junior Prep will be open).
All registered athletes will receive lunch, and division winners will receive the same prize as the able-bodied tournament divisions.
