Built to Move with Carolyn Williams
About this Event
Mobility isn't about being flexible—it's about moving well.
Whether you love hiking, skiing, running, lifting, gardening, or simply want to move through everyday life with less stiffness and more confidence, healthy movement is the foundation.
In this interactive workshop, you'll learn how to evaluate your own movement, identify your biggest mobility limitations, and practice simple techniques that can improve how you feel and perform.
Drawing from evidence-based mobility principles inspired by Dr. Kelly Starrett and The Ready State, this workshop combines education with hands-on movement so you'll leave knowing exactly what your body needs—not just for today, but for the long term.
During this workshop you'll:
- Learn what mobility really is—and why it matters
- Complete simple self-assessments for ankles, hips, shoulders, and thoracic spine
- Discover how mobility affects strength, balance, walking, hiking, lifting, and injury prevention
- Practice effective mobility drills and movement strategies
- Learn how breathing and positioning influence movement quality
- Receive guidance on which areas deserve your attention and how to continue improving at home
You'll leave with:
- A better understanding of your own movement
- Practical mobility exercises tailored to your needs
- A simple daily mobility routine you can continue on your own
- Greater confidence moving with ease in everyday life and outdoor adventures
This workshop is appropriate for all fitness levels.
No previous experience is necessary.
