Karen Wilkens, Sussex County Master Gardener demonstrates her technique of Lasagna Gardening for enriching our sandy, clay Delaware soil without the use of chemical amendments that poison our water. Lasagna Gardening is a layering system for creating soil that produces bountiful gardens: no digging, no tilling, less weeding and watering. What could be better!

Karen will share the ABC’s of Lasagna Gardening that makes gardening more sustainable and enjoyable especially in Delaware where our soils are so nutrient deficient. You’ll learn how to create soil that not only grows plants for beauty and eating but supports the food web. Save your compost, shredded paper and cardboard and learn how to make your very own Lasagna Garden!!!
