About this Event
Would you like to learn more about how T Level placements and apprenticeships work for businesses and the benefits they can bring your organisation?
Join Business West and Bridgewater & Taunton College at the Firepool Centre for Digital Innovation to understand more about how T Levels and Apprenticeships work, the process, how to get started, what you need to have in place and the benefits it can bring your business.
Linking colleges to businesses through T Levels, internships, and apprenticeships – especially in fields like digital technology, advanced engineering, and aerospace – can create a strong synergy that benefits both educational institutions and the industry.
This event is an opportunity to understand more about recruiting a T L-level intern, finding talent and offering apprenticeships with the support of the college. Hear first hand from other businesses about their experiences and discover more about projects that have already been completed from the students themselves.
Why attend?
Talent Pipeline:
T Levels combine classroom learning with industry experience, offering businesses access to a skilled, job-ready workforce. T level students can be offered placements in organisations. Internships and apprenticeships further develop students, ensuring a steady talent stream.
Industry Training:
T Level programs are designed with input from industry experts, ensuring the curriculum is aligned with current industry requirements. Businesses can also collaborate with colleges and educational institutions to tailor training programmes to meet industry needs.
Innovation & Growth:
T level students and apprentices bring new ideas and innovative approaches to digital technology and engineering challenges. In fields like aerospace and advanced engineering, students can contribute to R&D efforts.
Business-College Collaboration:
Leads to mutually beneficial outcomes and enhance the relevance of the educational programs. Regular feedback from businesses can help colleges adjust their curricula to better meet industry needs and ensure graduates are more aligned with job market requirements.
Recruitment & Retention:
Identifying talent early provides an opportunity to mentor and train potential future employees, as well as reduce turnover by offering clear pathways from education to employment, retaining skilled workers.
Regional Growth:
Helps develop the talent pool within the region, contributing to economic growth and addressing skill shortages in key industries. Businesses that support educational programmes can enhance their reputation and foster strong community relationships, which can be beneficial for long-term business success.
Government Support:
Businesses and colleges can take advantage of government programs that support internships, apprenticeships, and educational partnerships. This can include financial incentives or grants aimed at fostering industry-education collaboration.
