About the course
This 5 week course of Yoga for beginners takes place in the Yoga in Somerset yoga studio at Extons Barn, Milverton, 20 minutes from Taunton. The course is suitable for those completely new to yoga or to this approach. It will equip you to join the general classes afterwards.
In practising the yoga movements we stretch and energise the body. A feature this approach is a natural and graceful way of working with the body, combining strength with lightness in the movements. You will quickly experience various health benefits: Your spine will become stronger and more flexible and your posture will improve. Your energy levels will increase and you will feel both calmer and more alert.
But in addition to the immediate physical and mental benefits, through yoga we can develop a longer term inner strength that can help us to become more resilient and take charge of our lives. This beginners course will give you a first sense of how this works. Week-by-week you will gain confidence in your practice as you learn and repeat the movements, and understand their principles more fully .
Following the beginners’ course you have the option of repeating another beginners’ course if you wish, or of progressing to another class at a more advanced level.
This course of yoga for beginners will run on Wednesday evenings from 7.45 – 9.15 pm.
Cost and booking
The 5 week course costs £40. To book a place please email Karen ([email protected]) and I will send you bank account details to transfer the payment. Once I have received your payment I will reserve a place for you on the course. Numbers are limited to a maximum of 12. I will send you directions and further information a few days before the course begins.
