Building Bridges Garden Club: Hydroponic Growing
About this Event
As the weather gets cooler, it's a great time to learn about growing indoors! Mike Johnson of Our Farm will show us around their hydroponic garden inside a shipping container at Covenant House. We'll learn about this sophisticated operation, and also how one might use simpler systems at home or work.
Mike has years of experience growing plants in water and in soil, and he's enthusiastic about helping others grow their own food.
This is the 10th event in our Building Bridges Garden Club series. You don’t need to have come to any of our previous events to enjoy this one.
This is a free club for gardeners and soon-to-be gardeners (even if you’re just growing on your windowsill) in Ward 8 (and elsewhere) to meet each other, get your hands dirty, learn some tricks, and have fun. Everyone is welcome.
Be sure to register! The event will be indoors and we will continue the workshop rain or shine. Please dress in layers so that you can be comfortable outside, briefly, and inside a heated growing room.
