We are very pleased to welcome Alan Lawrie, an independent consultant specialising in organisational development.
The financial model that underpins many organisations is changing and managers and trustees need to adopt a more planned and strategic approach. This practical one-day course looks at how organisations can develop a broader income base and build a more sustainable organisation.
Topics will include:
· Increased use of project funding
· Public service contracts
· Trading, income generation and social enterprise
· New forms of finance
Participants will be able to consider the positive and negative implications of these opportunities and their relevance to their organisation.
This session will look at the practical implications of changes in our funding base and introduce some useful tools to identify the issues involved. The idea of business modelling will be introduced through looking at case studies.
Business planning. This session will highlight the practical importance of effective business planning to survive the uncertain and fast changing times ahead. It will also identify the skills and processes needed to manage and develop opportunities.
