Build A Rocket is a Bay Area/California Delta alternative indie rock band led by Jen Kirk Carlson, a longtime San Francisco music native and founding member of Bad Cop/Bad Cop, Angry Amputees, and Compton SF. The band features Jason Taylor on guitar/vocals, Johnny Kirk on bass/vocals, and Russ Jenkins on drums, blending melodic, textured songwriting with a raw Delta vibe is somewhere between the Pixies, Hot Water Music, and Lucinda Williams.

The current lineup of Build A Rocket came together after Jen Carlson and Jason Taylor met in a Delta ghost town bar and pulled a guitar off the wall to start jamming. The band later filmed the video for “Last Call” in that same bar, and still carries that same late-night river town atmosphere — equal parts punk rock, dive bars, desert highways, and Northern California melancholy. #DeltaSh*t

Moth Magnet

Moth Magnet is an all-original alternative rock act from Oakland, California. Born from the caterpillar of the rock band Roshon, the project thrives in a creative cocoon of positive and negative poles, finding a million meanings in the space between.

Musically, the band explores various flavors of post-punk and indie rock. They play unapologetic, honest rock 'n' roll—throwing elements of grunge and shoegaze into a burlap sack, spiking the mix with sudden metal-ish blips, and then cutting through the noise with intentional, mindful moments of reflection. Built on live humans playing real instruments, Moth Magnet confronts harsh truths with atmospheric calm, acting as the light melding with your holiest of sweaters.
