Bug hunt and nature walk - Springfield Park, Kidderminster

Join the Wyre Forest District Council Ranger Team for a family-friendly session exploring the wildlife of Springfield Park, Kidderminster.

This hands-on session gives young people the chance to discover the fascinating world of bugs while exploring one of the district's beautiful natural spaces. Guided by the Ranger Team, participants will investigate a variety of bugs, learn where they live, and find out why they play such an important role in the local ecosystem.

As well as discovering wildlife, the session encourages an appreciation of the natural environment and helps young people understand how local nature reserves are cared for and protected.

The session will provide an opportunity to:

• Discover a variety of bugs
• Learn about local ecosystems in an engaging, practical way
• Spend time outdoors and explore a local nature reserve
• Encourage interest in nature and the environment

All equipment will be provided, and guidance will be given by the Ranger team throughout the session.

This session is aimed at children aged 6 to 14.
All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult aged 18 or over.

• Suitable outdoor clothing appropriate for the weather

• Children must be supervised by an adult at all times
• No dogs permitted at the event
• The event may be postponed in poor weather conditions
• Bookings are required for children only, with a maximum of 15 places available. Accompanying adults do not need to reserve a place.
