Introducing Loving Kindness in a practical way with 5 sessions of guided meditations
About this Event

What would it mean to let love - rather than uncertainty and worry - lead in our lives?

Letting love lead our responses can bring more ease and clarity in our minds, as well as to our everyday interactions. This short 5-week course will enable you to practice the simple and effective technique of Loving Kindness meditation, as found in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition—tried and tested over centuries, and more recently by modern science. Led by meditation teachers with many years of experience, you'll follow a step-by-step, tried-and-tested sequence of Loving Kindness, with each stage of the practice opening to the next.

If you're new to Loving Kindness, meditation, or Buddhism generally, perhaps you're looking for a good place to start? This is for you.

If you're familiar with meditation, perhaps you're curious about what comes next? Or about how love and compassion figure in the Buddhist path as a whole? This is for you.

If you're a more experienced practitioner, perhaps you've connected with Loving Kindness practice in the past, but life is busy, and you'd like to reconnect. This is for you.

Agenda
More about our meditation courses

Info: Our 'Meditation in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition' courses run regularly throughout the year.
Each course in the series explores a key understanding and practice of the Buddhist path, running side-by-side with a gradual, experiential journey in 'calm-abiding' meditation, the foundational practice of meditation in Buddhist training.

Each course gives guidance on the principles and practical basics of meditation practice, and is open to anyone curious about Buddhism, meditation or their own mind. Over the course of the year, as well as meditation itself, these courses cover core Buddhist topics such as:
The vision behind meditation: what's the point of sitting still?
Loving Kindness: the revolutionary practice of the heart.
Training in compassion: what happens when we think more of others?
Reflecting on change: making friends with uncertainty.
Interconnectedness: dissolving the illusion of separateness.
Exploring different methods of meditation: different strokes for different folks.
