Buck Forty Nine – Saturday October 5 – 8:00-10:00
Buck Forty Nine was born (or were we hatched?) out of a previous acoustic setup called One Thin Dime. They raised their price to $1.49 – a price tag on one of George’s vintage ties. BFN has been a low-key twang band in the D.C. area for over 15 years but with a long hiatus in there somewhere. They were getting the engine running again when our friend Corona drove us all into our caves. Now this group of cavemen has emerged again.

BFN is inspired by classic country, rockabilly, rock, blues, and whatever else catches our ears. They play some great, but not worn out, cover songs along with a healthy dose of lyrically inventive toe-tapping originals to get you out of your seat. The band can get loud or subdued, depending on the situation. Buck Forty Nine is like a barn burner as much as a slow, sad, country waltz.
