In it's third year, the Newcastle Rugby League Magic Round will again kick off the Denton Engineering Cup season and take place at one of the region’s premier rugby league facilities - Maitland Regional Sportsground. The annual Magic Round provides fans with the rare opportunity to watch every Premiership club compete at a single venue.

The partnership with Maitland City Council will help deliver a vibrant and accessible event for the whole community. In addition to five high-quality rugby league fixtures, Magic Round will feature food vendors and family-friendly activities.

Details

All patrons who pre-purchase an Adult (18+ years of age) ticket or VIP ticket to attend the Newcastle Rugby League Magic Round at Maitland Regional Sportsground on Saturday 11 April 2026 will automatically receive one free entry into the draw.

The prize includes

• Two tickets to the 2026 State of Origin Game 1 at Accor Stadium, Sydney | Wednesday 27 May 2026 .

• One night’s accommodation on Wednesday 27 May 2026 for two adults at Novotel Sydney Olympic Park.

Draw and Claim

• The draw will take place at half time of the final match on the day of the event.

• The winner must be present at Maitland Regional Sportsground at the time of the draw to claim the prize.

• If the selected winner is not present within two minutes from the announcement, a re-draw will occur.

How to enter

• Pre-purchase your tickets (No additional forms or registrations are required).

• Each Adult (18+ years of age) ticket and VIP ticket purchased equates to one free entry into the draw.

• On-the-day ticket purchases and complimentary tickets are not eligible.
