Friday 20th to Sunday 22nd June 2025Cost: £495 per rider / £370 per pillion, based on sharing twin or double rooms.
Our mini tour to Bruges begins on Friday morning with a short Eurotunnel crossing from Folkstone to Calais. From Calais, we take a "magical mystery" ride through the back roads of northern France avoiding motorways and main roads. As we cross into Belgium we follow the canal system which runs through some beautiful Flemish towns, where we'll break for lunch before continuing our ride to Bruges. Friday night we'll stay in Bruges, which is one of my favourite destinations in northern Europe. There is a great choice of bars, cafes and restaurants to explore in the historic centre of this world heritage city. And its biker friendly!
Saturday offers a choice of spending the day in town, or riding up to the coast to explore the Belgian Polder countryside with its canals and dykes. There will also be an opportunity to swap leathers for swimming kit for a quick dip off the sandy beach at Knokke-Heist - it is June after all! Alternatively you can explore the stunning architecture, take a canal boat tour or indulge in the many shops specialising in Belgian chocolate and beer.
Sunday we'll have time to do the touristy bit. Bruges is a beautiful walled city that can easily be explored on foot in a few hours. We'll then take a liesurely ride through Ostend and follow the coast back to Calais to catch the 6pm Eurotunnel home.
