ABOUT BRUCE KATZ
Bruce Katz is one of the most celebrated keyboardists in blues, roots, and jam music — a master of both the Hammond B3 organ and piano with a career spanning over three decades and nearly 100 recordings. As a bandleader, he has released 14 CDs; as a sideman, he has appeared on nearly 80 albums alongside luminaries including John Hammond, Delbert McClinton, Ronnie Earl, Butch Trucks, Duke Robillard, Little Milton, Joe Louis Walker, and David "Fathead" Newman.
Bruce's deep connection to the Allman Brothers legacy is unparalleled among working musicians today. He served six years (2007–2013) as a member of Gregg Allman's band, was part of Jaimoe's Band (2010–2015), performed with the Butch Trucks Freight Train Band, and occasionally toured with the Allman Brothers Band itself.
AWARD-WINNING ARTIST
Bruce is an eight-time Blues Music Award nominee for the prestigious "Pinetop Perkins Piano Player of the Year" — the equivalent of a Grammy in the blues world. He won the 2019 BMA for "Best Acoustic Album" for Journeys to the Heart of the Blues and received nominations from Living Blues Magazine for "Outstanding Musician (Keyboard)" in 2015, 2019, and 2025.
