Whether you’re single and hoping to meet someone who truly clicks with you, or simply craving real community, welcome to your biweekly mid-week gathering. Soundmates is a unique, intentional space for anyone who loves music to gather, drop into the present moment, and experience the soundtracks of our lives together.

We meet every other Wednesday from 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM at the Durham Arts Council.

• Share Your Anthem: Bring a song that is deeply meaningful to you right now—the track you’ve been blasting in your car or the melody keeping you anchored.
• Listen in Presence: We press play and allow the room to experience the music together in immersive, collective presence.
• Reflect Somatically: We close each track with light, organic conversation about the visceral, physical experience of the sound and where it took us.

By bypassing the usual social scripts and diving straight into the songs that move us, Soundmates creates an immediate, authentic bond with the strangers around us.
