About this Event

Brotherhood In Conversation: Fathers & Co-parenting

Some thoughts need somewhere safe to land.

Before you can be open with others, you must first be open with yourself.

Who this is for

This session is for fathers who are carrying more than they usually say out loud, especially if you are navigating:

  • co-parenting tension or separation
  • access stress and difficult communication with an ex-partner
  • resentment, anger, or pressure to stay steady for your children
  • feeling unheard, judged, or like you have nowhere safe to speak honestly

You do not need to have it all figured out.

What this is

Brotherhood In Conversation is a facilitated, in-person reflective circle run by Talking To My Thoughts (TTMT).

It is conversation-led reflection and brotherhood, not therapy, counselling, diagnosis, legal advice, mediation, or crisis support.

Space to speak. Room to listen. People who get it.

When and where
  • Sunday 12th July 2026
  • 12:15pm start (around 90 minutes long)
  • The Wilds (Barking Riverside) in the Meeting Room
  • Northgate Road, Barking Riverside, London IG11 0AN

What happens in the room

A structured, welcoming session built around TTMT’s reflective method:

  1. Welcome and ground rules — confidentiality, consent, safeguarding
  2. Check-in — short mood or prompt
  3. Guided conversation — themes around fatherhood, co-parenting pressure, and what you are carrying (listening, reflection, no fixing)
  4. Next steps — one practical takeaway for the week ahead
  5. Close and brief feedback

Attendees receive TTMT take-home materials (e.g. reflection sheets / workshop reader content) where provided for this session.

Ticket: £10

£10 per place — book on Eventbrite to secure your spot (limited capacity).

The ticket helps cover facilitation, materials, and running a held space with clear boundaries.

What TTMT is not
  • Not therapy or clinical treatment
  • Not legal advice about custody, access, or co-parenting disputes
  • Not mediation between you and an ex-partner
  • Not crisis or emergency support

Confidentiality: What you share stays in the room unless someone is at risk or there is a safeguarding concern. We do not promise secrecy where safety requires action.

Before you book

You might relate if you have thought:

  • How do I stay calm when I am being pushed?
  • Where can I actually talk without being judged?
  • How do I keep showing up for my child when I feel drained?
  • I do not want advice — I need space to talk.

If that sounds like you, this session is built for that kind of pressure.
