The exhibition "Broen" portrays Dronning Louises Bro, one of Copenhagen’s most iconic social meeting points. Created by Copenhagen-based New Zealand photographer Michael Collinge, the exhibition presents a series of portraits from 2025 of the people who gather on the bridge to meet, talk, and share moments—capturing a living snapshot of the city’s diverse and ever-changing population.
The photography exhibition explores transition in two ways: how a piece of urban infrastructure, built for transportation, has transformed into a space for social interaction; and how this space now mirrors Copenhagen’s shifting social landscape.
Dronning Louises Bro is where community comes together—a place for conversation, reflection, and observing the rhythm of the city—an essential part of Copenhagen’s social fabric.
All images were shot on an analogue Mamiya RZ67 medium format camera.

”Broen” er et portræt af Dronning Louises Bro – et mødested ved søerne. Projektet er skabt af den New Zealandske fotograf Michael Collinge, der er bosat i København.
Fotoudstillingen præsenterer en serie portrætter af de mange folk, der benytter broen som samlingssted og socialt rum. Fotoserien, der er taget i 2025, danner et øjebliksbillede af byens foranderlige mangfoldighed og sociale liv.
”Broen” undersøger hvordan dette stykke urbane infrastruktur – et forbindelsesled mellem Nørrebro og indre by – har udviklet sig til at sted for socialt samvær, og hvordan denne udvikling afspejler nye måder at benytte byrum.
Dronning Louises Bro er dér, hvor fællesskabet mødes under åben himmel midt i byens puls – et sted til samtale og eftertanke. Et uundværligt element i byens sociale liv.
