In this hands-on workshop, participants will stitch a delightful pansy pin cushion using fine crewel wool on linen — a perfect introduction to traditional surface embroidery. Guided step-by-step, you’ll learn classic crewel stitches such as long and short shading, stem stitch, and French knots. We’ll explore how to blend colours and use stitch direction to bring the pansy motif to life with depth and texture. Once the embroidery is complete, you’ll assemble your piece into a charming, functional pin cushion — a keepsake to treasure or gift.
This workshop is suitable for all skill levels, from enthusiastic beginners to experienced stitchers wanting to refresh their technique. All materials are included: linen fabric, crewel wools, needle, design, and full instructions. Just bring your enthusiasm and love of thread!
